"BLITZ" Crisis Training: A Soldier's Guide to Retaking an Active Warzone

Let's face it: whether you're on or off the battleground, crisis is all around us. As you go about your lives in a world plagued by conflict, it becomes increasingly important to be an active participant in your own safety. With professional guidance from the Ayup Army Special Forces, ASJ wants to take this opportunity to teach you the steps you can take to maximize your survival in the event that you find yourself in an active warzone situation. If you're in a pinch, remember BLITZ:

Barricade If you are in a building, get to a secure room and block attackers from entering. Move heavy objects like shelves, desks, and chairs in front of doorways. If there are windows, do not cover them; hide along the wall next to the window to avoid enemy's line of sight. Be wary of walls: brick may withstand any rifle calibers under .50 BMG, while drywall will be penetrated by most handguns. Once you are secure, call for backup and wait to be rescued by armed reinforcements.

Lockdown If you are rescued, Ayup Army personnel may supply you with a firearm. Tell them everything you know about your familiarity with the area, and coordinate with them to come up with a plan to clear the premises of any enemies.

Infiltrate & Terminate Execute your plan. Follow your troop leader's orders to engage contested territory. Watch any open areas and corners where threats may be hiding. As an Ayup citizen, you are legally permitted to use lethal force if you are caught in an active combat zone. Do not fight fair, and be prepared to kill.

Zzz (Rest!) After a long day of emotionally stressful combat, it is important to give yourself time to recover! A full 8 hours of sleep per night is optimal for your physical and mental health as you go on with your lives, or if you choose to continue fighting to liberate more innocent Ayup civilians.
